Locanda Il Senatore welcomes you with spontaneous hospitality in a beautiful corner of Liguria, between pines and pittosporum, rocks, sand and sea. An original structure, restored with sensitivity and attention to detail, handled with family professionalism in a magical atmosphere, to make you live an unforgettable experience. The structure has a restaurant, an Inn and beach facilities, all managed on a human scale.
The Locanda during the winter
After the summer, the area lights up with new colors and fragrances, it’s grape harvest time and there are many festivals to welcome the autumn, such as the Festival of Grapes and Wine, “Sagra dell’Uva e del Vino” and Vezzano Ligure’s traditional contest “Palio dei Rioni Vezzanesi”. From October to December, for the entire period of the olive harvest, spread throughout the territory you can find tasting oil events; it’s the ideal time for walks and wine tours, discovering all the great products that this land can offer.
The poetic light is enhanced in winter, when sea and sky become red and the sun sets between Tino Island, Palmaria and Portovenere, in front of Fiascherino!
Winter in Fiascherino is also full of events! From the Underwater Christmas in Tellaro, where the village (a few steps from the Locanda) is illuminated by candles up to the sea, with gospel choirs and fireworks, to the small villages’ Christmas markets scattered along the coast, to the classical concerts in churches, parish recreation centres and theaters. Moving towards the CinqueTerre, in Manarola there is the famous light nativity scene that from December to January illuminates the Hill “Tre Croci” in the village and offers a unique and suggestive sight. And then the Carnival carts, from the smallest in the province, to the historic Carnival of Viareggio.
